The Analogue Sound Machines
Carl Martin makes high quality effect pedals, tailor made for the needs of professional guitarists and bassists.
Our goal from the very beginning was to develop and produce products for the demanding professional musician, with superior sound quality and features not seen in other guitar effect pedals. As a result, our first guitar effect pedal - the Hot Drive’n Boost, was introduced in 1993.
First Carl Martin pedal in 1993.
Due to our extensive knowledge of the professional music industry, and our contacts with a wide range of demanding musicians, we have been inspired to maintain a very high-quality standard. We now have a range of 44 high quality guitar and bass effect pedals, and more to come in the future.

A brief History of Booster Pedals (Guitar Summit Workshop)
Check our "Workshops" section or the general schedule (workshop / livestream) here at Guitar Summit Web Camp.
Haiko Heinz will take you on a journey through the history of boost pedals, starting from the early treble boosters in the 60s (played by Toni Iommi, Ritchie Blackmore or Brian May) to the first overdrive-pedals in the late 70s - finally resulting in modern-drive and boost-pedals and how they are used today.
You´ll hear lots of different amp models with various boost options and a demonstration of the new Carl Martin PlexiRanger and how it combines great rhythm and lead tones.
