Furch western guitars and acoustic basses

František Furch is undoubtedly one of the protagonists of European guitar building. The Czech manufacturer proves that vintage looks and innovation do not have to be exclusionary criteria, especially in its 35th year of existence. Handcraft and the use of long-stored, solid tonewoods guarantee perfect sound and high reliability, both on stage and in the studio.

The first guitar with the "Furch" logo appeared in 1981 and was the product of a small, unofficial garage company. In a country which at that time was still called "Czechoslovakia" and later on was to call itself "Czech Republic". The communist system of those days did not tolerate private companies and so the work took place more or less "undercover". No reason for František Furch to dedicate himself to his own vision of the perfect acoustic guitar.

By the end of the 80s he had already earned himself a sensational reputation in the international top guitar scene. With the beginning of the "velvet revolution" in 1989 the way was finally clear for a first small – officially approved – company. On 20 square meters and with only one employee!

Today, Furch is one of the truly innovative luthiers worldwide and enjoys high esteem. The guitars have an impressively high quality and sound great in every price range! Modern technology supports the workflow without affecting the very important manual work.
